(Direct from Squadron Mess): This is one of the 2009 WestPac Cruise patches created for "TEAM SHOGUN" and Airwing NINE (CVW-9). This was created for VFA-146 / VFA-147 / VFA-154 / VAW-112 / and VAQ-138 (and also for the other squadrons)......It says WESTPAC '09 (top) and OPERATION: ENDURING BUDGET CUTS (bottom). it also shows all the flags of the countries they had port calls along the border. Only was able to obtain a few......This patch does not have velcro attached.

The "Death Rattlers" were under supervision by MAG-11 and flew for many years with the F-4 Phantoms. They transitioned to the F/A-18A Hornet in 1983 and along with their sister squadron (VMFA-314), the squadron flew against Libya in 1986, deployed to Egypt in support of Exercise Bright Star, then also took their turn in the rotations at MCAS Iwakuni, Japan. They currently have been moved from MCAS El Toro, CA to NAS Miramar, CA. This is the "white-background" version of their squadron patch and does not come with velcro attached.

The 'Death Rattlers' fly the F/A-18A Hornet out of MCAS El Toro, CA. They operate under the guidance of MAG-11. They flew in the Libyan combat missions from the flight deck of the USS Coral Sea in 1986.

This is one of the 1994-1995 WestPac cruise patches for the USS Constellation (CV-64) and Airwing 2 (CVW-2). This patch is "OCTAGON" shaped and shows the aircraft at the top, the 'Merican Flag in the middle and the Carrier at the bottom, with all the attached squadrons along the border! It does not have velcro attached and is an exact reproduction of the original patch that AV8RSTUFF was asked to make for one of the groups, and was allowed to make a few extra for the site!!

This is one of the 1996 WestPac cruise patches for the USS Constellation (CV-64) and Airwing 2 (CVW-2) and states "SEATTLE SEAFAIR" along the bottom commemorating that particular port call in 1996. It does not have velcro attached.

This patch has the Flagpole with the American Flag and lists all the Squadron along the length of the pole! It does not have velcro attached and is an exact reproduction of the original patch that AV8RSTUFF was asked to make for one of the groups, and was allowed to make a few extra for the site!!

This is one of the cruise patches for VMFA-323 for their 2017 Deployment onboard the USS NIMITZ (CVN-68) as part of CVW-8. It says "FIRE CRUISE" (top)/ "OPERATION INHERENT RESOLVE" (bottom) with all the squadron logos along the top of the patch. It has a red "creature" breathing fire and says "HOT AS HELL". An absolutely amazing patch they commissioned and was only able to get a few of these!! This patch does not have velcro attached.
