(Another AV8RSTUFF Creation): This is the 2019 Detachment patch created for the 12 Air Command and Control Squadron (ACCS) located at Robins AFB, GA for one of their deployments. It is the ‘heritage’ patch for the 2nd Anti-Submarine Squadron. The tagline of ÒProbably SunkÓ was pulled from a New York Times headline detailing the 2nd Antisubmarine SquadronÕs successful combat mission against German U-boats in the Atlantic. Despite proof of both the bow and stern of one of the U-boats pointing skyward after a strike, analysts provided the understated assessment of the boats being ÒProbably SunkÓ to the press. It says ‘PROBABLY SUNK’ and shows (either) ‘GOOFY’ or ‘PLUTO’ standing on a cloud looking into a submarine’s periscope. I’m sure there is a.good story behind this design! This patch does come with velcro attached.
