(Korean) The 188th Rescue Squadron is unit of the New Mexico ANG assigned to the 150th Special Operations Wing located at Kirtland AFB, NM with a very historic lineage dating back to Feb 1943 as a Bomb Squadron that participated in World War II. In 2005, the USAF decided to close down 188th and convert Kirtland from a fighter to a special operations base where they gained the HC-130J Rescue C-130 with the new Callsign “TACO”. This is the OCP version of that aircraft patch and does not come with velcro attached.
