This is a custom patch for the 330th CTS (Combat Training Squadron). It shows the JSTARS mascot, an owl, with claws out swooping down on it’s prey. On the top rocker it states, “Prognatus Caligo Lumen” which translates to “Born to make dizzy light” (I’m not kidding – go figure) and on the bottom rocker it says, “330th Combat Training Squadron”. The 330th Combat Training Squadron trains Army and Air Force aircrew members on their specific roles. The squadron trains an average of 350 hundred students a year to fill officer and enlisted aircrew positions. Students participate in an intense six-month (or more) course of study that includes academic classroom and practical flying instruction. Nearly 90 people keep the school operating at peak proficiency – 70 are instructors. This patch comes with velcro attached.
