The 44th Tactical Fighter Squadron flew combat missions in Southeast Asia in the F-4 Phantom from 18 December 1964 to 6 October 1970, and has now become a unit of the US Air Force, part of the 18th Wing at Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan. The 44th Fighter Squadron is currently equipped with the F-15C/D Eagle. This is the ‘white-enameled’ version of their squadron lapel pin (from the Vietnam-era) and 100% of the proceeds go to the RRVA Scholarship fund.
