For the 494FS history, note above. This patch was created for the Panthers for their 494EFS (‘E’ stands for ‘EXPEDITIONARY’) deployment where they pressed ‘NORTH’ into theater from their deployed location (unwilling to say location). I found this patch in a Korean embroidery shop and it has the “theater-made” feel with the ‘cut’ edge. It does not have velcro attached.
