This patch denotes the fact that the F-14 tows it’s gunnery banner behind another F-14, thereby allowing the “training” aircrews to practice their gunning techniques. AMCM is an acronym for Airborne Mine Countermeasures. The tow patch depicts a Tow Boom out of the back of an MH-53E helicopter. The Tow Hours are significant of the amount of hours an AMCM Crewman or Pilot have while towing an airborne mine sweeping device.
