The USS Midway was one of the last two wartime carriers that have recently been retired. She was the first carrier home-ported outside the USA by being based at Yokosuka, Japan which allowed the boat to be readily available for rapid deployments in the Pacific. This is the centurion patch for 200 traps, a very hard and highly treasured patch to earn.
