This is one of the cruise patches from the 1996 USS INDEPENDENCE (CV-62) Western Pacific (WESTPAC) deployment. It says “”””FOR TAIWAN CRISIS 1996″””” (top) and lists the ships in the Carrier Strike Group (CSG) with the dates of 8 MAR 96 on there…..this patch was found in a little Korean shop in limited quantities and does not come with velcro attached.
