Named in honor of the 35th President, this carrier’s keel was laid on 22 October 1964 and was launched on 27 May 1967. This is one of the cruise patches created by the USS Kennedy for their participation in Operation DESERT SHIELD in the shape of a “shield”. This patch does not come with velcro attached.
