This is one of the USS Eisenhower(CVN-69) 2009 Cruise Patches created by the V4 department’s ABF2 Malcolm Clinton. It show a grape soda can and says “Water Free” at the top, “IKE JP5” in the middle and Jet Fuel at the bottom. Alludes to them being called “GRAPES”, so he created a “GRAPE JUICE” patch…..for me, it alluded to the taste of the drinking water on the ship!!! No matter what we drank, it had the taste of fuel!!
