The F-14 Tomcat was the US Navy’s premier carrier-based, Cold War-era air superiority fighter, famous for its long-range AWG-9 radar and Phoenix missile system. It enabled the Navy to “own the skies” by combining variable-sweep wings, high-speed interception (Mach 1.4+), and versatile reconnaissance capabilities via TARPS. This patch was created for their participation over Iraq in Operation DESERT STORM and does not come with velcro attached.
