This is the “Fleet Aircraft Service Squadron (FASRON) FOUR”, which was stationed at NAS Jacksonville, FL. A Service Squadron (ServRon) was a U.S. Navy squadron that supported fleet combat units. Service Squadrons were used by the United States Navy from their inception in 1943 to as late as the early 1980s. This is the squadron patch for FASRON-4 and does not have velcro attached.
