Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 9 (HSC-9) “Tridents” is a US Navy helicopter squadron based at NAS Norfolk, VA. The squadron is equipped with the Sikorsky MH-60S Seahawk. Currently (2024), HSC-9 is attached to Carrier Air Wing Eight (CVW-8). It was originally established as Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Three (HS-3) in 1952 and was redesignated on 1 June 2009. This is the white version (with the red pitchfork) of the 2024 deployment patch created with the squadron logos from the CVW-8. This patch does not come with velcro attached.
