This is the black version of the “Low Country Strike Fighter Maltese Cross” patch created for the USMC VMFA squadrons stationed at MCAS Beaufort, SC. “Low Country” is a term for the coastal area in South Carolina, “Midlands” is for the capital area (Columbia) and middle of the state and “Upstate” is for the area (Greenville/Spartanburg) near the mountains. This was the first Maltese Cross patch of this type and does NOT come with velcro already attached.
