This is the “MEDIUM ATTACK WING” school patch worn by those who served at the “ATTACK WING” level. Established 1 Oct 1971 as the type wing for Atlantic Fleet “medium” Attack (VA) squadrons flying the A-6 Intruder, it was redesignated as Attack Wing, U.S. Atlantic Fleet (ATTACKWINGLANT) on 1 Sep 1993. This patch does not come with velcro attached.
