As we all know, the venerable A-6 Intruder was created by GRUMMAN. Eventually, NORTHRUP took them over, and the company is now called NORTHRUP-GRUMMAN. The “INTRUDER OFFICE” contacted me recently since AV8RSTUFF runs the Intruder Association Country Store asking if the “STORE” would want these GRUMMAN-ISSUED Intruder Hours patches. They were found in a desk drawer (no kidding) and are DIRECTLY FROM the NG-corporation. Once these are gone, there will be NO MORE originals!! This is the A-6 Intruder standard, white, cut-bordered ‘2000 HOURS’ patch worn by those who earned that many hours in the US NAVY’s greatest bomber. This patch would have been sent directly to the recipient’s squadron CO/XO for presentation, as this was a momentous occassion. This patch does not have velcro attached.
