The FWS, Fighter Weapons School, commonly referred to as “Top Gun”, was based at NAS Miramar, CA, but has since been moved to NAS Fallon, NV. This is the initial (old) version of their color patch that depicts a Soviet Delta-Wing aircraft (MiG-21 possibly?) with the red exhaust coming out. This version does not have velcro attached.
