This is the “Sara”. She entered service with the Atlantic Fleet in 1958 and was immediately involved in the Cuban blockade and missile crisis. She also saw the first operational of the Intruder in ’63, was involved in the Libyan crisis, and participated fully in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. She was a faithful servant to her thousands of sailors.
