The “Cyclons”, based at NAS Fallon, NV are an adversary squadron equipped with Northrop’s F-5 E/F Tigers, and in 1992, began transitioning to the F/A-18A/B Hornet and switched to their new designation of VFA-127. The Cyclons were the first adversary squadron to fly the Hornet.
