The VA-304 “Firebirds” were the Naval Air Reserve operator of the Grumman A-6 Intruder out of NAS Alameda, CA. They were established in July 1970, but have since been decommissioned. This is the “Intruder” version of their squadron patch showing 2 A-6 Intruders flying head-on.
