The ‘Green Lizards’ of VA-95 were established in April 1972 and operated the Grumman A-6E and KA-6D Intruder as part of CVW-11 onboard the USS Lincoln (CVN-72). They conducted operations in the Persian Gulf immediately following Desert Storm where the squadron deployed 3 detachments to Sheik Isa Air Base in Bahrain. This is the 1988 “CLEAN SWEEP” award patch for the Green Lizards earning the Battle ‘E’, Safety ‘S’, and the McClusky Awards. This patch does not come with velcro attached.
