This is the detachment patch for the “land-based” Prowler squadron that went over to Incirlik, Turkey for support in Operation Northern Watch in late ’01-’02. They are supplemented by the USAF and support Air Force operations, but fall under the direction of the Navy. It’s still a 4-month deployment over there, but they don’t get port calls in exotic lands.
