This is the shoulder patch for the VAQ-135 “Black Ravens” that operated the Grumman EA-6B Prowler out of NAS Whidbey Island, WA. They were established in May 1969 and participated in Operation Desert Storm from the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). This is the patch worn by those in the squadron not in specific shops (see below).
