VAW-110 Squadron Patch

The “Firebirds” of VAW-110 fly the E-2C and the C-2A out of NAS Miramar, CA as the West Coast training squadron for those aircraft. They were commissioned in April 1967 as RVAW, but became VAW-110 in May 1983. This patch was also worn by some of the characters from Top Gun on their leather flight jackets.
