The VC-6 *FIREBEES* operate the Navy’s only operational Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). This aircraft is utilized primarily in reconnaissance missions while being controlled by VC-6 personnel onboard Navy vessels. Tactical employment of this unique asset primarily supports both Battle Group deployments and Amphibious Warfare Operations. This is the patch they created for their decommissioning that says UNMANNED and UNMATCHED with the dates 1952-2008. This patch does not come with velcro attached.
