The VF-1 ‘Wolfpack’ flew the F-14 Tomcat out of NAS Miramar, CA, but have since been decommissioned. They were established in Oct. 1972, and received their Tomcats the following summer. They were the only Grumman squadron to get an Air-to-Air kill during Desert Storm. This is the red version of their F-14 Tomcat aircraft triangle patch worn on the left sleeve of the flight suit and does not come with velcro attached.
