The ‘Superheats’ of VF-202 were established in July 1970 and was one of two Naval Reserve F-14 squadrons. They were based out of NAS Dallas, TX. They originally flew the F-8H Crusaders, then the F-4N Phantoms until receiving their first Tomcat in April 1987. They were the Tomcat squadron for the Reserve Airwing 20. This is the famous “Superheats” patch they created that states “One Call Does it All”.
