Established as VBF-3 in 1945, the squadron was redesignated VF-4A in 1946, then VF-32 in August 1948. This is (reproduction of) the initial squadron patch for them It says “White Lightning” across the top and “Fightin’ Thirty-Two” along the bottom. Quite a unique patch, and I’m sure the history is probably as exciting as what was in the moonshine jug!!
