The “Gladiators” of VFA-106 were established in April 1984 as the East Coast RAG for the F/A-18 Hornet. They operated the A/B/C/D models of this aircraft and flew from NAS Cecil Field, FL. They moved to NAS Oceana, VA in the 1998. They also fly the T-34C Mentor as range-clearance aircraft. This is the “medium-sized” version of their squadron patch that does not have any aircraft on it and does not come with velcro attached.
