The “Stingers” were originally designated VF-113 in July 1948, then became VA-113 in March 1956, before final designation of VFA-113 on 25 March 1983. Flying A-7s for many years, VFA-113 recieved F/A-18Cs in October 1991. They were onboard the USS Car Vinson (CVN-70) and attached to CVW-14. This is the “GRAY HONEYCOMB” version of their TAILFIN patch and does not come with velcro attached.
