In order to be qualified for the “FLEET” (operational squadrons), the pilots must “Air-to-Air” qualify by going through the ‘FIGHTER’ curriculum at NAS KEY WEST, FL. This is the class’ SQUADRON DET CHEST patch that says “22-50 FIGHTER DET” (top), “CONCH LIGHT” (middle with a CONCH SHELL), and “VFA-122” (bottom). This patch is in the shape/look of the ‘COORS LIGHT’ beer can and DOES come with velcro attached.
