(Another AV8RSTUFF Creation): The “Kestrels” were established in July 1985 and operate the F/A-18E Hornet. Originally attached to CVW-6 onboard the USS Forrestal (CV-59), they left their East Coast base (NAS Cecil Field, FL) and became the sister squadron of VFA-151 stationed at NAS Lemoore Field, CA. This version of their tailfin has the “Glow In The Dark” (GITD) form lights with ‘NE’ on their tailfin and also depicts their mascot, the Kestrel. This patch does not have velcro attached.
