The “Tophatters” of VF-14 from NAS Oceana flew the F-14 Tomcat, transitioning to fly the F/A-18 Hornet and is the oldest US Navy squadron with a continuous history dating back to September 1919. They received their latest aircraft in January 1973, replacing the F-4B Phantoms. This is the PILOT nametag worn by the F-14 pilots of VF-14 and does not come with velcro attached.
