The “Tophatters” of VFA-14 from NAS Oceana fly the F/A-18 Hornet and is the oldest US Navy squadron with a continuous history dating back to September 1919. They received their latest aircraft in January 1973, replacing the F-4B Phantoms. This is the nametag worn by the pilots of VFA-14.
