The ‘Blue Diamonds’ were established in February ’56 and flew the FJ-4B Fury and the A-7 Corsair II before transitioning to the F/A-18C Hornet. This version of their F-18C aircraft bullet patch (dark blue/light blue middle) is just one of the several versions of their aircraft patch worn on their right flight suit sleeves. They operate out of NAS Lemoore, CA in the “single seat” version of the Hornet. This patch came directly from the squadron when we purchased all their remaining stock as they transition to another aircraft and does not have velcro attached.
