The VFA-154 ‘Black Knights’ were established in February 1951, then designated as VF-154 in February 1953. They flew the F-4S Phantom before transitioning to the F-14A Tomcat and currently fly the F/A-18F SUPER-Hornet. This is the color version of their NEW aircraft ‘coffin’ design. It is worn on the right shoulder of the flight suits by the aircrew that fly the SUPER-Hornet and does not come with velcro attached.
