This is the desert version of the current squadron patch for VFA-2. The ‘Bounty Hunters’ are currently a Hornet squadron stationed on the East Coast, but cruise with West Coast boats. They were established in October 1972 and received their first Tomcats in 1973, but transitioned to Hornets in the early 2000s.
