This is the normal color version of VMA-231’s squadron patch. The ‘Ace of Spades’ fly the AV-8B Harrier out of MCAS Cherry Point, NC under the direction of MAG-32. They participated in Operation Desert Shield from Japan, but deployed to Bahrain during Operation Desert Storm. Their total deployment time for that was 11 straight months!!
