(Another AV8RSTUFF Creation): In July 1992, VMAQ-2 split into 3 separate squadrons and formed VMAQ-1, -2, & -3. The “Playboys” of VMAQ-2 fly the Grumman EA-6B Prowler out of MCAS Cherry Point, NC. This patch is a throwback to the “old days” with the “GRIFFIN” mascot! It is an exact reproduction of their heritage patch for the squadron and does have velcro attached.
