In July 1992, VMAQ-2 split into 3 separate squadrons and formed VMAQ-1, -2, & -3. The “Playboys” of VMAQ-2 fly the Grumman EA-6B Prowler out of MCAS Cherry Point, NC. This patch was created by the Lieutenant Protection Agency (LPA) which is similar to the US Navy’s JOPA!
