In July 1992, VMAQ-2 split into 3 separate squadrons and formed VMAQ-1, -2, & -3. The “Moondogs” of VMAQ-3 fly the Grumman EA-6B Prowler out of MCAS Cherry Point, NC. This is the blue version of the det patch they created for the “Deliberate Guard” mission from 1997.
