The ‘Bengals’ of VMFA(AW)-224 flew the A=6E Intruder out of MCAS Cherry Point, NC, but transitioned to the F/A-18D Hornet and fly out of MCAS Beaufort, SC now. This is their aircraft bullet commemorating the WestPac 2001 deployment and has that “handmade/in-country” feel to it.
