VR’ denotes ‘Fleet Logistic Support Squadron’ and operate several different types of aircraft. The “Flamin’ Hookers” of VR-51 operated the C-9B out of NAS Glenview, IL and were established 01 November 1970. This patch is for the current VR-51 ‘Windjammers’. The Windjammers were commissioned in 1997. They fly the C-20G out of MCBH. They contribute to the logistics effort with their long-range aircraft.
