VR’ denotes ‘Fleet Logistic Support Squadron’ and operate several different types of aircraft. This is the desert version of the current squadron patch for the ‘Lone Star Express’ and they flew the C-9Bs out of NAS Dallas, TX. That field has since been ‘BRACed’, so they have moved to the former Carswell AFB in Fort Worth (now called Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth). They transitioned to the C-40 Clipper (737) aircraft a couple of years ago.
