Fleet Logistics Support Squadron SIX FOUR (VR-64) was established on 1 November 1970 as VP-64, a Reserve Patrol Squadron at Naval Air Station Willow Grove, PA.Ê Originally flying the SP-2H Neptune, the Condors transitioned to the P-3 Orion in 1973. VP-64Õs maritime patrol mission included Anti-submarine warfare (ASW), surface surveillance and counter narcotics capabilities that enabled the Condors to provide global patrol support. ÊÊÊIn 2004, the Condors transitioned to the Lockheed C-130T Hercules and the squadron was re-designated VR-64. This is the subdued green (not OCP) version of their squadron patch and does not have velcro attached.
