The “Rawhides” of VRC-40 fly the C-2A out of NAS Norfolk, VA and were established in July 1960. They were originally known as ‘Codfish Airlines’ and have supported Atlantic Fleet operations the entire time. This is DET-3’s color version of their “DET FREAKIN THREE” patch supporting the USS EISENHOWER (CVN-69) and says “JUN 2012 – INDEFINITELY” with a big ole’ 6 9 it. This patch does not come with velcro attached.
