The “Vidars” of VS-22 fly the S-3B out of NAS Jacksonville, FL. They were established in May 1960 as part of CVW-3 aboard the USS Kennedy (CV-67) and participated in Operation Desert Storm. They were the first S-3 squadron to wear “kill” markers for 2 Iraqi radar stations destroyed by bombing.
