This is the 40th Anniversary commemoration patch for the “DragonFires”, which was established in April 1960. They currently fly the S-3A Viking aboard the Carl Vinson with Airwing Eleven. They participated in the evacuation of the Subic Bay naval base after the Mt. Pinatubo eruption and maintained sea patrols in the Persian Gulf following the Gulf Conflict.
