VT-10 was established in 1960 as a division of the Training Department of NAS Pensacola and was known as the Basic Naval Aviation Officers (BNAO) School. It has a very storied lineage (see online) and is the US Navy’s premiere training for the Naval Flight Officers (“”””back-seaters””””) and does not come with velcro attached. Yours truly is the 1992 “”””HONORMAN”””” graduate.
